Seward Alaska

A seaport community Southeast of Anchorage where many fishing boats are parked when not in the sea collecting fish.

The trip from Anchorage to Seward is a very scenic one travleing along a major waterway and many mountainous areas.

Seward is also home to AVTEC (Alaska Vocational Technical Center) providing coursework in Network/Server Administration to Cullimary arts.

It is also the home of The Alaska Sea Life Center, an educational center to preserve the sealife of Alaska.

The center includes birds as well with a collection of puffins in one of it's displays.

The town has only one grocery store, a very tiny Safeway similar in size to the Safeway location in Leavenworth Washington.

It is a 90 minute scenic road trip from Anchorage from Seward on Highway 1 traveling along the Seward Highway to the waterfront community.

Some of the photos taken show damage caused from melting glaciers creating damaged that did cut of parts of the town in the past.
